Standing Together
Happy Friday Awesome Principals!
We have lead our schools and communities through another week! Again, thank you for being the leaders your school community needed in these challenging times. This newsletter comes a little earlier than we had planned but we wanted to get news of the Perry Rush Road Trip out to our members quickly!
We hope that you are all feeling good and functioning well! We have a wealth of experience in Auckland with Principals willing to share their knowledge or lend an ear. Make sure that you reach out and connect with each other. There will be a number of things on top for us in the coming weeks and months so please attend your cluster meetings and make sure you can get to the APPA breakfasts (we are looking at a new venue). We have been the lighthouses in our schools making sure our places remain safe - we can now start gathering together and focus upon the evolving education landscape ahead.
The Executive have been meeting with the Auckland and National MoE representatives about how we navigate the challenges ahead, we will continue to meet regulalry in what looks to be a collaborative manner. Steve King has been working on the changes to the APPA constitution and these will be ready to go to members for consideration shortly. We have also locked in some dates for the APPA Conference - be on the lookout for information from the conference committee soon. In the meantime try to make one of the sessions next week! It will be great to meet face to face again.
